SQUARE EYED STUDENTS in Trabzon, Turkey

At the end of November, we and the other members of the Square Eyed Students Erasmus+ project reached the second milestone of the project. We visited our Turkish partner in Trabzon, Cudibey Ortaokulu primary school. We had a great time there. The children could practice their English and we, the teachers, also had the chance to learn from each other. This time we exchanged methodological experiences as well. The Turkish partner organized different programs for the students. The children learned a lot not just about digital addiction but about the Turkish culture and education system as well. We spent the mornings at the hospitality school where we talked about the causes and dangers of digital addiction and about what could be done to make us less dependent on computers and smartphones. In the afternoon we had the chance to get acquainted with the school's leisure time activities, Turkish culture, sport and gastronomy. By the end of this meeting, our students gained not only valuable experiences but also managed to get real European connections as well.
